Samsung va monitor ghosting

Is it that it's started happening all of a sudden? Or it's just you've become aware of it?

All VAs ghost to some degree. There's not much you can do about it - I switched to a QD-OLED after several years with a Samsung VA. No going back!

If you have response times in the monitor OSD set high try lowering them - often normal is actually the optimal setting.

Most VAs are like that though and once you notice it you can't un-notice it.

I'm not sure if it's always been like that . It's only noticeable if you move a certain way, in certain scenes in the dark.

It's fine doom eternal 90fps zooming around (bright scenes) far cry sunny environment etc

This is all dated nonsense, I have been using a Samsung 32 inch G7 happily and its rapid, far superior to even TN/IPS speeds, not to mention the contrast and immersion, can never go back to garbage like TN or non curved again....

Not tried the 32 inch G7 but most VAs, even recent ones, still have smearing/grainy traces on certain colour transitions/movement - you might not notice it at first but once you do you can't un-see it. The only VA out of the ones I've tried I'm happy with in that respect is the Philips Momentum 436M6.

It is horrid. I started noticing it on the likes of the Underworld films fighting in the very all dark scenes way back. The 2006 film and later films highlighted most of it. Some of the Blood Wars scenes was exceptionally bad.

Not the new Samsungs, the G7 is now legendary, they are a special new breed of VA, a totally clean, smear free gaming experience, with all the benefits of VA contrast, color depth, rapid response times and 240hz.... while offering 32 inches if curved perfection, I still think its the best 1440 gaming/media monitor available, recently was priced as low as £490....
