hi there people i have had a samsung LE32R73BD 32" for about a month now and i really liking it. i have had my 360 running through component because the colours are so vibrant. ive tried over vga ad the colours seem a lot more washed out but a lot better picture if ou get what i mean. i was just wondering if there was a way of changing the colours over vga. and was just wondering what everyone else is running thier 360's through on this panel.

Peronsally i preffer the VGA, but it needs to be an MS VGA cable, I had a joytech and it was very washed out.

Unless the samsung has DTV mode via VGA always go with component. The colours via a PC VGA port on a TV are horrendous compared to a true DTV VGA enabled port.

Don't think mine has any fancy DTV thing, and its fine to me. I recently hooked component back up to see if I should go back to that, but everything looked much rougher.

VGA on my samsung and LG. But mostly have my xbox on my sammy because the VGA is superb...get the offical MS VGA cable and there shouldnt be any problems.....but the menu allows you to pump settings up to horrendous levels anyway....including the colour as well!

Yeap thats why i ended up getting an MS VGA cable, it was almost too sharp on component. I found it a real struggle playing the GoW level in the imulsion mines

It's nothing fancy, it's basically treating the VGA input as a component connection as the 360 does not use VGA spec colour properties. A large number of TVs will detect the format of the input and adjust it automatically (480i/p, 720p and 1080i/p are usually automatically adjusted to DTV mode).

That made it vibrant but not true to the colours it should be showing.

I have a 40" Samsung with DTV and the 360 looks amazing on MS VGA plus you can adjust the picture alouhg even on default GOW looks great if you set Vibrant in the GOW options menu. MS Component has a ghost image around all text plus the colour looks much worse to me.

I use VGA because I have my VM STB hooked up bia component, i liked the colours via component but a bit of playing with the settings via VGA made it just as good for me :)

i use component on my sammy 40", mainly due to having my laptop connected via vga and not wanting to pony up more money for a different connection :)
