Our washing machine died yesterday quite drastically and i am on the hunt for a new one.

Budget is £400 so that rules out the high end ones. I also only need 7 kg capacity. My last one was 6KG.

Im leaning towards a Samsung series 5 because they have a 5 year warranty.

Has anyone owned Samsung washing machines or currently have one.

Ours has been spot on, went from inbuilt cheap job that lasted 3 years to this last year, to normal size free standing 10kg ecobubble one, comes with long warranty and is pretty quiet compared to the old one even with a heavy load in.

Our 9kg eco bubble direct drive has been in heavy use for 8 years, still perfect. Family of 4. Really reliable.

We've had a Samsung one for years. Has needed a new heating element and door seal but I DIY'd both and parts are easy to get.

9 year old Ecobubble here, family of 4 and does multiple loads a day. Not missed a beat.

The little tune it plays will become ingrained in your soul though lol.

The end tune is torture so I've turned it off.

The 5 year warranty makes it an easy decision really.

I wish I'd spent the extra 80 on the heat pump dryer to have smart features as they work well for scheduling but to be fair the timer on the machine itself works well and is clear.

I know you've ordered but one for the future maybes but Haier are worth a look into. I know a few people that have these and rate them. About 4-500 quid for a 9-10Kg model. Only 2 year warranty but the DD motor has a 10 year warranty I believe. My parents also recently switched to one and are really pleased with it. Seem to get good reviews online as well. But yeah, Samsung and LG make good washers and driers. :)
