The monitor is expected to become available starting October 12 and will go on sale for an estimated street price of US$299.
I've seen it on Google Shopping but it's just been American Websites, for the release seems to be quite pricey £300+ , this monitor is said to be retailed at £180, so I'm defo going to be waiting a couple of months after release, it will be a rip-off to buy this monitor on the launch period as it's selling for double the RRP and it's a 23" TN Panel Monitor, so it shouldn't be that expensive.
Between the Samsung XL2370 and the Dell Ultrasharp 2209WA what would you choose? (more just from speculation as I don't think there's many proper reviews on the XL2370 yet?).
i would go for the Samsung. i still cant justify the price of IPS panels (especially dells). With a LED backlit screen the difference is becoming even lower between the two. to call TN panels "inferior panel technology" would, IMO, be wrong.

LED backlights don't narrow the gap between TN and IPS (and VA) at all. No backlight technology can fix TN's terrible viewing angles or enable it to actually show real 8-bit colour. Those are inherent flaws in TN panel technology. With a LED backlit screen the difference is becoming even lower between the two. to call TN panels "inferior panel technology" would, IMO, be wrong.
