Samsung's massive new 30" WS 305T. A rival to the Apple 30" Cinema Display and the Dell 3007WFP. Spec below:

from CEBIT fare this last week. Looks like it could be good, certainly the spec is promising, and looks to be using Samung's new 30" PVA screen, the LTM300M1. Might be nice :)

There is an asterix next to the response time of 6ms. Do you know what "small print" this refers to?

Ah thanks. I was viewing from work earlier so had the browser window really small and missed it :D

that monitor looks great 6ms response time my god at 30" looks great for gaming would have thought you would need a sli rig to do that resolution smoothly

Any more news on this TFT Baddass? I read that it might not have HDCP. Which is amazingly stupid if it's true.

Was thinking of getting one or two of these but if they have no HDCP then that could very possibly put me off.
I held off getting the Dell 30" because that suffers from backlight bleeding, and the colours aint meant to be as good as my Dell 2405's, which is important because i do graphics and that... and i dont want Apple's cinema display, because, well, it's Apple (and it's specs are inferior).

no more news i'm afraid yet. There can often be a delay after CEBIT exhibitions before release. The issue with the Dell and panel uniformity is certainly a shame, and we can only hope that Samsung produce a good product here with their 30"WS offering :)
