Is it me or are sand box games last gen more fun than this gen. I mean compare vice city to GTA4. Vice City had seat belts GTA4 does not lol. Then yesterday I played the mafia 2 demo the cops are so strict like compared to other games. (plus you can't jump)

what do you guys think?

:D

I told you last week. The seatbelt thing in GTA doesn't matter.

EDIT: you're saying that GTAIV would be more fun if there were seatbelts

For mafia 2, I suppose that to avoid the cops you have to be more sneaky or something ?

Dead Rising and Crackdown are 2 awesome sand box games.

Was not a fan of GTA4, but that was down to the story rather than anything to do with the sandbox elements

Never played the Mafia ports, but it seems police patrols were axed from the console ports to the last gen consoles for performance reasons.

It's not a real problem though, Patrol cars are blue rectangles on the rotating mini map and blue triangles tell you where and which way the Beat cops are facing. The cars also have effective speed limiters all of this is as per the 2002 PC version.

I thought it was one of the best features of Mafia to be honest.
Made it more realistic and have to have a better strategy in some missions.

I guess different types of sandbox for different gamers but rockstar should make a GTA PS2 HD collection for PS3.

When I played Mafia I enjoyed getting caught speeding. It's the one thing I wish GTA4 had. It would make playing after completeing the game much more entertaining.

I have a disc copy of San Andreas for the 360, I just cannot help but feel sick when I play it though, the graphics are very poor.

Red faction: Guerilla is fantastic, one of my favourite games of last year.
Played it on pc though, don't know what the xbox version is like, I've heard it has framerate issues but I'd have to play it to say whether it's detrimental to the game or not.
