Is Sandisk CF Extreme III worth the extra compared with extreme II?

It very unlikely to make any difference to the speed your camera can either take pictures or upload them via the camera to your computer. You would however notice a difference uploading your pictures via a card reader.

There is no Extreme II, are you thinking of Ultra IIs?

For a 350D it won't make a lot of difference but then again there's naff all difference in price between Ultra IIs and Extreme IIIs.

Sorry, thats what i mean. Theres a £5's difference between the 2 but thats still a 3rd of a Ultra II and when I am trying to scrimp to get a new lens every penny helps

I'll echo what Divine said.
Only buy Sandisk memory from an approved retailer. There are so many fakes around that it's not worth the risk buying from other sources. Even some of the 'unofficial' sellers aren't aware their cards are fake!
