Sandisk Ulrta Backup with 128-bit AES - any good?

I need a USB stick backup solution with encryption and have found the Sandisk Ultra Backup USB stick... it has a one-button backup system (good for my less technical work colleagues) and has 128-bit AES hardware encryption.

Its intended purpose is to back-up Outlook PST files and My Documents on work machines.

Anyone have an opinion on this product?

Is 128-bit AES hardware encryption sufficient... I realise that 256-bit would be better, but the price for such a product is significantly higher.
 
Rather than setting up Outlook to store the PST file on a network drive, it is stored locally on C:. We could copy/backup to a network drive, but IT have said that they don't want people doing this. I know it isn't great, but it's the way it is.
 
I agree that we are at risk of losing data by having Outlook setup to save locally, and one of my colleagues has already found this out the hardway! It should be easy to set up a networked solution, but...

It seems as if they think that since we have all been given new PCs then the HDDs won't fail for a while, so they will worry about it later. If they do have a plan, no one I've spoken to has said anything!
