Playing Rising Storm 2 earlier and after my last round put the computer into sleep. Around a hour later I went to resume and got a error message regarding no operating system could be found. Went into bios and no ssd detected. Hooked the drive up with the power and sata cable which my HDD uses and still no SSD could be found.
I have reconnected my HDD and luckily already had windows on a usb drive to install (from fresh installing to the ssd 2 months ago)
Many games I can't play on HDD such as arma and battlefield 1 due to stutter so I'm in dire need of a replacement SSD. My concern though is that this is a system I put together 6years ago this coming October and I'm wondering if my PSU Corsair HX 1050 might be a liability now with it's age. I have the system plugged into a surge protector and surge damage my have killed the SSD. Any thoughts I don't want to get a new SSD and end up frying it also.
