Has anyone got any? Im a bit of a noob

I know FSB / HTT speeds are not so important as CPU clockspeed but, i am trying to tweak my rig and need some compares.

Hi

Iv just built a new pc and am also interested in how it compares with similar specced machines.

Im running amd x2 4400, gskill hz at 3:4:4:8 on a dfi expert nf4. Currently at 270x10 1:1 and score 6746/6682 in snadra memory benchmark.

Nope, seems about right to me. And for 2.9v you should be able to do better than 200 Mhz 2-3-3-6.

Ahhh well. It's the old chipset that's holding your bandwidth back, McNutter with his A64 and newer memory controller has a much higher bandwidth than his PC4000 would suggest.

If you used your RAM in his system, the bandwidth would be considerably higher.

im onto it monkey, to do with the internal memory controller etc, made up with the board tbh, upgraded from a asus a7v333 barely got 1900mb/sec with that

I am using the same Bh5 memory from my 8rda+ and I rarely achieved 3100mb/s with this ram on that board. Chipsets have got quicker since socket A.

Does the cpu effect the memory score? I have a slightly higher fsb at very similar timings and am a couple of hundered pionts behind

Possibly though not 100% sure tbh, are you running 1T? that would make a bit of a difference if you were running 2T

Well i get 5987/5865 with OCZ plat Rev2 at 2.2.2.5 and the same result with Mushkin HP at 2.3.2.6 both at 1T with no overclocking. in 2T get around a 1000 less (4990 ish).
With standard settings

A64 3500+ Newcastle
DFI NF4 SLI-DR
2GB Mushkin HP 3200
Leadtek7800GTX

I'm at 7551/7471 with an Opty 148 at 11 x 266HTT CL2-5-2-2 1T, 1:1. Using 1gb OCZ 3500 Platinum Ltd Edition (old Skool BH-5) on a DFI Expert

Rather low for my liking:

2x1GB HP PC3200 DDR400 ECC Registered memory @ 200MHz 3-3-3-8

It should be at 1T (and A64 tweaker says so) but SiSoft Sandra says it's at 2T which might explain the low score

Can't find 1T/2T command rate anywhere in the BIOS either

TBH, makes very little difference on an A64. Scoring 5000MB/s or 7000MB/s accounts for about 1% performance on the A64 but a whole lot more on Intels. (On-die vs northbridge).

I get 5733 with p4 3.2 @ 3.5 and 2gb g-skill hz4000 at 3-4-4-8 don't know if thats ok or not?
