Hello bread eater!

Just LOL if you don't think Ed Sheeran's The Shape of you pop music escapade was not about sandwiches and why they should be cut on the diagonal and not the vertical. A horizontal slice? Not on my watch; lopsided crust.

What good opinions do you have vis a vis 'diagonal boys/ladies' or are you just wrong about everything all the time?

I prefer a long thick baguette.

...... cut horizontally along its length.

Straight down the middle, from the nice crust at the top to the decidedly average crust at the bottom. 50/50 split.

Why? I'm glad you asked - it means that both parts of the sandwich each have a bit of nice crust. Otherwise with a diagonal cut one half of the sandwich will always be inferior to the other :D.

This man speaks the truth.

That's why you start from the nasty half and you finish on pure bliss. You earn it by the end of the sandwich and gives a reward.

I cut my sandwiches in three dimensions not two.

I'm trying to work out a way to cut my sandwich in four dimensions though, I'm going to call it a tesswich.

Full unsliced loaf, cut once horizontally through the middle along it's length, half way up, with a single blow of my katana. Insides of the bread hollowed out and the husk filled with blocks of cheese and freshly killed pig.
