At the moment i'm running two 280x60mm rads in push/rad/push/rad config, but its held with some duck tape. How does one assemble them into single block properly ?

I'm thinking of getting 900D and put this block at the bottom of it and taking air in from one and exhausting on another side of the case, without dumping any into the case. Now, i cant have any duct tape in my 300 quid case, can i :D

Use the smaller screws to attach the fans to the outer rads. Unless they're fans that have solid corners? just use a screw bit from one of those multi tool sets :)

but when I was reading up on it I found this thread that if anything sandwich rads perform worse than singles.

(Feel free to tell me to shut up if you want to do it anyway :D)

(Not a shop am I OK to link?)

Looks a lot better than I thought it would when I read duck tape :D

Those fans are perfect :) Haven't got the annoying enclosed screw areas :)

Get the 900d its beautiful :) I spent a good 10 minutes just staring in awe of its size :)

Shutting up :D

:D

Tbh it doesn't look that bad at all, I was expecting to see something hanging from the case with just tape holding it :p

900D, ditch the 280's and buy a 480+360 ;)

2x280 is just fine, i dont think it would benefit increasing noise by adding fans...

Also, i dont mind duck tape, but i want to make the sandwitch more rigid than it is now. Hence the question.
How do i mechanically fasten this together ?

Shoestring budget and all that lol.

Eventually replaced it with an antec spotcool, that and the fact that i needed that lace for one of my work boots.:D

Probably mate.:D

Gotta love a bit of ghetto modding. Ive discovered the joys of sewing elastic, excellent stuff for bodge mounting a fan into my remaining 3x 5.25 bays. In stock form, the air intake in the shinobi xl case is woefully poor. I bought one of those fancy lian li drive bay coolers but sadly it didnt fit.
