Sandy Bridge Reviews

If any of you were looking at the 1155 Sabretooth, there's a video preview for a review gone live here.

It's certainly unique looking, wonder if the 'tactical vest' is worth it? Looks like it might be in the £200+ region!

Also the nice thing about the i2500k is that you overclock the 'turbo' speed without increasing idle or low-load power consumption as much as when overclocking a Q6600 - http://www.ocia.net/reviews/i52500k/page6.shtml. To overclock a Q6600 effectively it needs to be permanently overclocked even when such power isn't necessary.

One of the key reasons i am interested. My Q6600 only hits 3ghz anyway but having to have it there all the time is just a waste. Being able to hit 4.4 + with throttling still enabled is a huge plus for me.

So far, in my (tiny) bit of testing, the system destroys my old Q6600.

Bare in mind, this system is vs a Q6600 @3GHZ. I'm running this at 4 (was at 4.2, but backed down until I've read more about the overclocking to be safe). It's insanely fast.
