sandy bridge wait?

I have been looking to build a new system and I posted in another section of the forums about it recieved some suggestions ect.

One of the suggestions was to wait till Sandy bridge is released as its only a couple of weeks away. My question is will this be a better cpu than the Intel Core i7 950 3.06GHz (Bloomfield)?

I do not plan to overclock as im not daring enough to try it.

Hi there,

May I ask what you will be using the PC for?

That said, in pretty much all tasks a quad core sandy bridge will be a fair bit faster than a 900 series i7 in most tasks. Have a look at this performance preview.

Mainly gaming and some photo/video processing

In that case I would certainly suggest waiting for sandy bridge, only two weeks away.
