I reset the bios and took out the mobo battery as soon as I got the board. Apparently that works for some people.

MSI GD65 here. Just my 2p worth:
So far working fine with CPU at 4.2GHz. Vcore 1.28. OC Genie works fine as well - went to 4.2GHz first post. Using 2 x 4GB Corsair Vengeance 1866MHz with XMP. Have a X-Fi PCI card - no problems. Fan speed control is working for CPU fan and SYSFAN1 & 2 - can set to 50/75/100%. eSATA working fine.
Running with CoolIT Eco with push/pull Noctuas. Quiet and CPU idles at 31C (turbo boost and EIST are disabled so running constant at 4.2GHz). Load temps under OCCT max out at about 56C.
Problems so far:
The BIOS. Running 1.4 at the moment. Tried 1.6 but was locking up when saving OC settings. Not a problem with 1.4. BIOS also shows processor speed incorrectly (as does 1.6) - shows something like 200000GHz (which would be nice if it were only true
).
My Razer mouse doesn't work with the BIOS. MS Sidewinder is OK. MX518 is OK.
Upgrade was really easy (from Q6600 @ 3.2GHz on P45). Mainly got this to boost my FSX and ARMA2 performance. Has made ARMA2 pretty smooth and has boosted my FSX performance a lot. Ran a quick comparison flight - FPS jumped from 25-30 to a solid 60 (frame limited) at the same location and same settings. GTA IV also got a really nice boost - it's now stutter-free and a pleasure to play.
Apart from small problems with BIOS (which are nothing more than an annoyance really) the build has been perfectly stable. Haven't pushed the overclock any further yet as I haven't felt the need to.
