Sold all my X58 Kit for a laptop for myself and now my daughter`s took it from me so im going to build a Sandybridge setup for gaming and overclocking.

Cpu 2600K

Cpu cooler is sorted this will be the Noctua NH-D14 may lap the base not sure yet, seems to be the best air cooler out there.

Motherboard not sure what to do really with this part of the build, will be running sli with 2 x 470`s or i may shift them on and get a single 580
So im looking at the following.

Asus Maximus IV Extreme
Asus P8P67 PRO Intel
Gigabyte P67A-UD7 Intel

Memory

G.Skill RipJawsX 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C6 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (F3-12800CL6D-4GBXH)
CAS Latency: 6-8-6-24 2N (Capable of 2133MHz at 9-10-9-28-2N)
Capacity: 4GB (2GBx2)
Speed: DDR3-1600 (PC3-12800)
Test Voltage: 1.5V

Or

G.Skill RipJawsX 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL )
CAS Latency: 9-9-9-24 2N
Capacity: 8GB (4GBx2)
Speed: DDR3-1600 (PC3-12800)
Test Voltage: 1.5V

Speed Vs Quantity of RAM. For gaming most people think 4GB is sufficient. Also if you're wanting to overclock the processor it would be better to have greater memory bandwidth. Therefore option 1 is probably best.

There won't be much to pick between the motherboards in terms of overclocking results so you might as well go for the Asus P8P67 PRO, also I agree that 4GB of RAM is still fine for gaming.
