neither, it's the chipset thats at fault & not the cpu, ignore the OP's sensationalist title, he didn't bother reading the news item properly.

Do you think this news will cause some price drops?
I hope a list of unaffect/affected chipsets come out soon. But I fear the worst its going to be all of them.
Do you think we could send back the CPU also and maybe go AMD because what use is a CPU in a defective motherboard ?
That doesnt make sense?
Its only the mainboard and depending on Manufacture they will either swap or RMA replacement. So your CPU is still good.
What do we do while we have no pc? they should send out motherboards first.
I know but maybe i could change over to bulldozer with the news of this im a bit sceptical of Intel now. Would rather wait for a few months make sure there are no other problems arise before i decided to go back over.
All H67/P67 motherboards will be affected.
In some cases, the Serial-ATA (SATA) ports within the chipsets may degrade over time, potentially impacting the performance or functionality of SATA-linked devices such as hard disk drives and DVD-drives.
I think this is overhyped a bit tbh, look at the key points highlighted below
