Hi Guys

With the launch of SB-E today, here is the bits and bobs I have done on it.
we haven't had much time thrashing it and with the cost of the CPUs I was being gentle. Didn't do much messing with the BCLK, just wanted to see the max frequency.

This was just using the Stock Intel cooler, so temps aren't ideal.

How does this impact those who are due for a computer upgrade? Is it worth waiting until these are due or go for a 2500k?

At £500 for the "cheap" CPU I would say 2500k-2700k for gaming, unless price/performance is not something you want to factor into it. Not sure there are many games that would utilise six cores and six threads atm.

could be I'm just jelly as I can't afford to spend half a k on a cpu though

They might be using it in a pre-build, and using it for benchmarks first. I really don't know though.
