Apologies if this is a stupid question but do HD2000/HD3000 integrated graphics share ram the way that, say, an AMD board with integrated graphics would?

I have currently got an HD4200 mobo that has 128mb of dedicated memory but shares up to 512mb of system Ram is it the same thing with the latest Intel CPUs?

They have no dedicated memory and share RAM yes. Mine was set to 64mb in the EFI by default but i think it may be able to expand itself if needed without an EFI change, not sure on that though.

I found this out on my 2600K. I just installed 16GB and it said only 15.7 was usable. Quick post on here and others on the forum confirmed it was the onboard graphics using 300MB as I don't have any graphics cards in yet
