Sandybridge overclock has reverted itself...

Hi

I ordered a sandybridge system a little while ago from Overclockers, it was pre overclocked to 4.6ghz.

I have noticed the overclock seems to have reset, and the processors are running at the standard speed of 3.30ghz.

How can i enable the overclock again? Is there a copy of a profile i need to activate or are them some settings i can manually change in the BIOS?

It was suggested i could just go into the bios and up the multiplier for the CPU to what it needs to be to give 4.6ghz, but felt uncomfortable just going in and making these changes myself.

When i went into the bios to check what had happened, i was given the message below

"the system had failed to boot due to overclocking or voltage changes"

I had not however made any changes to the overclock settings myself so am not sure why it happened in the first place.

Any ideas/thoughts greatly appreciated

Well the quickest resolve would to be to post in the Customer services forum, Then one of the guys at OCUK HQ can tell you exactly what to configure.

I sent a email to OCuk last night so am waiting for a reply. Just thought i would see what other people think in the meantime in case it is a known issue or something i could easily resolve myself.

ok, have been asked to enter the BIOS and reactivate the profile by selecting the 'tools' option. However, there is no tools option in my BIOS...

will go back to them
