Sandybridge to Skylake?

My one regret about sandybridge is not buying a 2600K, I was going to get one. But all my friends talked me out of it, saying it's a waste of money and to spend the money on other things.

I have to agree to both points. Had I known it was going to turn into a 5-year platform, I'd have invested in an i7 - but, foolish me, I expected Intel to produce better options as time passed...
Kinda miss getting my hands inside my case. Might have a rummage around in there and blow some dust out, for old times' sake.
