Sansar has established a streaming partnership to offer the full Sansar experience on almost any device type. This streaming capability enables a more immersive, realistic experience than current offerings from Roblox, Meta and VR chat without downloading the Sansar client or requiring a gaming PC.
We plan to launch streaming to desktop and laptop browsers in February 2023 and mobile devices in April 2023!

I got that same email.

Not sure the mix of Non VR and VR will work. I mean there is just no way of replicating the feeling of presence that you get in VR on a flat screen. It's the difference between been there and watching it on a screen.
 
You're right in that VR is way more immersive, and from my experience of sanar, the majority of users are still using a desktop rather than a VR headset. Perhaps a hangover from second life, which is still very popular. Hopefully the quality of the experiences will encourage more users to get into VR.

I didn't realise that majority of Sansar users are still using desktop. I guess there is a bigger market for the mix of VR and Non VR for this kind of thing than I thought.

There are some old polls showing user percentage back in 2018/19 but the devs at sansar make it too easy to use desktop mode. There's a whole suite of keyboard commands to get your avatar to dance, wave, jump, morph into other avatars and float. At the musical events you can easily spot the VR users as they look like they're having an epileptic fit, while the desktop users are all poppin' the travolta moves in perfect time.
