As title!

But to my surprise, Leopard & Vista don't seem to be running any faster?

OSX loads ok, but you can hear the HDD running away with its self long after the dock etc has loaded.

Not much different in Vista either? It's registered as having 4GB, same as OSX but just generally it doesn't appear to have boosted it much?

Am I missing something here?

:)

2GB to 4GB was very little difference to me, unless you were using a program thats very heavy on your memory. The only place ive noticed a differnce so far is on Crysis.

Yeah, there comes a point where the gains diminish. It like expanding a stadium to 100,000 seats when you only have 50,000 fans to fill it.

Stellios, how are you playing GT5? Import?

i found leopard ran smooter mainly with the 4g, but i really noticed it in opening apps it is instant and running multiple programs at once i have no real problems!

If you use anything like logic or photoshop, you'll notice the difference. I ran a very heavy load on my macbook pro when it only had 2 gig, an 8 track recording with lots of filters and effects, i literally couldn't play it. Upgraded to 4 gig, not had any problems since.

I have to say my iMac runs like a dream with 4GB, very happy I got them :)

I've not noticed a difference going from 1gb->2gb in boot times or general snappiness when using normal apps, unless it's been on for a while. Main difference comes in Matlab or PS.
