Hi,

I recently looked into buying a new graphics card. Having made my choice of which card to get (ATI X1800 XT 256), I've been searching around for the best price I can find in this card.

So far, the best buy I can find is the connect3D card here at OCuk. However, having browsed around for some reviews and other buyers I've had mixed feedback about Connect3D from technical faults to bad customer support.
My current card is a Saphire and I've had thus far no problem with the card and generally happy overall. Problem being, the Saphire card is £30 odd more and I'd like to avoid paying extra if possible.

My question for you good fellows is have any of you had recent experience with Connect3D and if so was it good or bad? Also, is there any considerable difference between performances of the two brands?

Any help and guidance you may be able to offer is greatly appriciated.

Regards,

SA.

Have both makes.
Connect3d x1800
Sapphire GT02

Both cards will be built to same spec so should be very little between them.
Luck of the draw really. . Had no issues with either so far. Save your money and get the connect 3D. :)

Id just get the Connect3D one as its cheaper, or does the pic on the cooler really matter. :p

Had a Connect3D x800 XT PE once, was a cracking card, didn't have any probs at all with it. :)

Picture isn't important.

I had heard that Sapphire tends to bundle their packages with games and such causing the greater price tag where as Connect3D doesn't. Just curios, but is this the case?

Either way, I'm not massivly interested in any bundle extras with the card. I'd rather spend less money and choose a game myself.

Thanks for the feedback guys, Connect 3D is defo looking like the best buy.

Forgot to mention, but if any of you know of a better brand for this card then by all means let me know. I only posted Sapphire and Connect 3D since I know the brands and they are the cheapest for what I want.
