Just adding this in case you don't catch it later.Bennah said:You can't run 2 ATi cards on a SLI motherboard.
Good point, lol. Yes, Crossfire is PCI-E only.benjo said:Also, the X800GTO must be PCI-e to be able to crossfire... but i think theres only pci-e crossfire motherboards so it wouldnt work anyway
I thought that was X1300 and X1600 cards only.Gashman said:there is a sapphire X800 crossfire edition, and as well i don't think GTOs need crossfire mastercard to run in crossfire mode, i have heard of HIS X800GTO running XFire without any master, and you definately don't need one according to ATI on new 3200 Xpress boards
Cool. Anyone want a fantastic overclocking GTO²?Gashman said:thats one of the biggest features of new chipset, mastercard-less crossfire or so they claim, and as for GTOs they just seem to work for some reason, like X1600s
That's because the GTO fits there, unless you were one of the lucky ones who got to unlock a Connect3D GTO. The GTO² was the one that unlocked to X850 XT PE speeds.FatRakoon said:The GTO and it still no better than any of my AMDs, some running 9800Pro, and one a 6600GT, and was way slower than the 6800GT in the barton.
