Hey, i have bought the 280x toxic. I have got a 650 xfx power supply with one 8pin and one 6pin. I know 650 is plenty power f the card is not working. It lights up on power, however my monitor doesn't pick it up. The box says it requires two 8pin, could this be the problem??

Did the card not come with a molex to 8 pin converter that you can use?

I know that there were previous AMD cards that would work with only 8+6 pin connectors however I'm not sure on the newer ones.

yeah it did however my power supply was modular and came with PCI e cables, on 8 pin and one 6 pin that i was hoping would be sufficient. i think now though that i am going to either have to attach my extra PCI-E cable that is an additional 8 pin, or connect the molex to 8pin attachments.
Does this sound like a reason for the Card not working properly though? the fans go and card lights up, just no display??

You need to connect all the power cables, even if the molex to 8 pin has to be used.

If you do not provide the power the card needs, how you expect it to work?
