Got given a new Sapphire 6850 from a friend of mine as my 4870 Toxic died on me a few days ago.

I know it has 960 Shaders and i was wondering if it was possible to either bios flash or some mod to maybe unlock the extra shaders ...

The HD 6850 doesn't have anything that can be unlocked.

It's some, mainly reference design 2GB, HD 6950's which have extra stream processors which can be unlocked.
