Does any getting the feeling that AMD and Nvidia are cooperating with each other when it comes to pricing? Cards like the 6970, 6950, GTX570 and GTX580 have barely moved in priced over the last year which shouldn't be the case competition should drive prices lower.

I only game at 1080P so I don't need the power of a 7970 and its too expensive for me right now. I rather get a 7950 now (which I think is a little bit faster than crossfire 5850s) and then get another later this year.

It is meant to be around $400 to $450.

With 20% VAT that should be around £310 to £350.

Any more is price gouging by retailers and suppliers.

Both the HD5850 and HD6950 were between 20% to 30% cheaper than the higher end cards they were based on.

obviously a HD5970 > GTX580

So HD5850 CF > HD7950
