I would just like to know what is the serial number for the revised version of this card, because I've seen that the first version had 1 6 pin and 1 8 pin pcie connectors. And the revised one has 2 x 8 pin connectors. So how do I make sure I get the revised version with better cooling. I've heard its mostly the uk that gets the two 8 pin connectors version.

Ive got a 7970Ghz vapour and its ok but not worth the extra money, i got mine on special otherwise i would be mighty disappointed. the fans over 45% are noisy and i got a asic rating of 55%.

I heard that the asic scoring doesnt mean a lot in terms of real performance.

Higher asic overclock better on air, the ghx version of cards come with a high stock voltage so have a disadvantage.

I was one that used to say that higher asic was better.. until I got 2 7950, one with 53% and the other one with 58% they need more voltage to higher clock, but for some reason when I overclock it over 1050mhz the temperatures are lower than the ones with 68% ad 72%.
