Will OCUK be stocking the new Sapphire Atomic HD 3870 soon? Does anyone know when this card will become available?

[EDIT] I am thinking of getting two for my new PC build.

I just seen that a competitor has got them in stock.

Now the next question... Two of these in Crossfire or a single Nvidia 8800 or a 9800??

all single 8800s will either be beaten or pretty much on par with 2x HD3870s. If you're talking 9800 territory, though, i'd advise you to wait, as those cards are only a temporary solution for nVidia for the time being.

Its been out in other stores for ages now. Looks like OcUK havnt bothered to get them in.

Whats the difference between this and the ones out right now? Single slot and..?

Apparenlty better cooler. Overclocked. Comes with a pretty decent bundle.

yeah single slot cooler that works better than the double version also clocked higher than standard version. comes with cathode light, 9ft dhmi cable. various software, steam black box. a money of voucher and is a steel case.

Huh. As if the 3870's weren't tempting enough, now they have a more effective but single slot cooling solution? I think I messed a little...

They are nice and have good cooling...but from the prices I've seen you are better off with a 8800GTS....

They sure will outperform an 8800GTS. But the cost of just one is only a few quid less than an 8800GTS 512mb......

are Sapphire's atomic cards using the same idea as HIS ICEq's, by having an overclocked GPU which generally run cooler & quieter, than stock speeds, with standard cooling fans?

No.

They are using a cooling solution that uses Vapor-X cooling technology.
