Because I don't think they are full fat toxic cards.

they only have 8+6 pin connectors which if it were a proper toxic card it should have 8+8 minimum as thats what the 280 uses and the 290 cards use more power.

So the Toxic cooler (which should be a good thing) although not full Toxic spec.

Since power supplies which have 8 pin connectors actually give you a 6 pin with optional 2 pin it seems like a moot point to have a 6 or 8 pin connection on the card since its the same cable with the same current capacity.

When 6-pin are in use it supplies upto 75W. When using all 8-pin upto 150W can be delivered.
