Sapphire Edge mini PC

Are these any good? I'm looking for a mini PC for use as a HTPC and like the look of these. Or is there anything just as good for playing 1080p content for less money?

That actually looks a really nice spec and would handle 1080p with ease. Mind you you cold spend less and still get 1080p through xbmc with ease

Or even cheaper a pulse eight barebones system.

I was looking at this one too. Don't think it has any RAM or HDD included with it though? So by the time you have added those, you may as well have bought the Sapphire.

Looked at these too, but thought they could only do 720p through the hdmi port?

Might be worth you emailing overclockers as well and making sure it handles the new HD audio such as DTS-HD over HDMI. Its just quite a few of these mini systems dont support it and at this price I would expect it to do so.

Depends what you intend to put on it. If your only intention is for streaming movies then you could quite happily run Openelec right off a USB stick. It boots straight to XBMC in 10-15 secs. :cool:

Also looking at the Acer revo L70. Anyone know much about this one?
