Hi all,
I recently purchased a nicely overclocked PC from the site.
After a few issues we finally got the machine up and running. However whenever we play world of warcraft or the Sims 3 there is an annoying flickering/wave on the screen.
I've tried VSync and adjusting the Hz and reso.

Any ideas of what this may be? I have heard suggestions of a problem with the monitor convertor cable?

Cheers!

Hi,
I had the his version of the 7850 and had problems similar to yours- was especially visible in dark areas. I switched from dvi - vga to just dvi and the problem ceased.
Hopefully this is the same issue with yours and can be solved.

I think this might be the issue. When payday swings around (Yes I'm that poor) I'll be switching.
:)

Ah, this monitor is D-Sub only.. Am I right in thinking to get rid of these annoying lines. I will need to upgrade to Dvi/Hdmi monitor for it to be compatible for gaming?

I plugged a HDMI into the pc and then into my HD Tv. worked perfectly, so it's not a card problem more of an issue with the VGA. I need to swap monitors I think?
