Sapphire R7 250 Issues With 4K

I bought a 40" 4K Philips BDM4065UC monitor and what I believed to be a compatible graphics card "SAPPHIRE AMD R7 250 Ultimate Fanless Graphics Card (1GB, DDR5)" to go with it. I dont use this screen for gaming, so all I needed was a card to enable me to use the screen at native resolution at 60HZ.

I have been plagued with issues, the screen will go black whilst I am using it, the display artifacts and 'glitches' frequently. Sometimes the screen will go black and not come on again, other times it drops out of 60HZ down to a horrible 30HZ after one of its many screen syncs.

Today I was able to try using my gaming PC which has a 980TI, and this (same cable) has been rock solid with none of the issues above.

Its too late for me to return the Sapphire, but I cant use it like this so may have to get a new card. I am hoping someone can recommend a (non gaming) card that would work with my Phillips?

If you bought it from OcUK you can return a product within 14 days.

Also I think it's just an AMD thing regarding the blackouts etc, as I had a few issues with my Phillips and 295x2 but with my 980's everything was fine. Def return the card if you still can, it won't get any better...

Unfortunately I have had the card two months, it was always an issue albeit much more recently as its getting progressively worse, to the point now where its borderline unusable. Sometimes I power-cycle the screen, and its ok for a while, but eventually it always becomes a nightmare.

Would something like a EVGA NVIDIA GTX 950 SuperClock 2 GB Pci-E Graphics Card be any good...?

Sounds potentially faulty? How is it on other screens/running gamins etc. Might be worth checking and RMA the card first if it is. Displayport is sensitive to cable quality and anecdotally slightly moreso on current AMD cards it seems. If they give you the choice get a refund (or if not test or sell it on) and go for an Nvidia card with hdmi2 card which as it stands now would be better for 4k going forward.
