Toxic graphics cards offer sheer, brute performance for the most serious multi-screen gamers and most demanding, graphically intensive tasks such as content creation, video editing and fast rendering. They delivery outstanding performance - whatever you're doing.

By default they're factory overclocked, Not enough? How about 10 phase power and double sided Black Diamond Chokes? Still not enough? How do you fancy next generation Tri-X triple fan technology - on our most extreme model? It'll keep your card super cool and overclocked, screaming out for no more as it heads into the stratosphere.

Great looking but how do they compare to a 7950 which they are close in price too
Out of the box, a standard 270x should be not much slower than at stock 7950, but it has higher stock clock, so lesser overclocking headroom than the 7950.

270X Toxic is a highly clocked 270X out of the box, and could potentially match a stock 7950, however while it is fast, it won't have much overclocking headroom left (if at all), and an overclocked 7950 would still be ahead on the same clocks, due to the higher number of stream processor, higher memory bandwidth (and 1GB extra vram- which might not have a direct impact on performance on most games, but when it gets to the point of games using more than 2GB of vram on the 2GB cards, the performance will plummet very quickly, which is why having the 3GB card on the 7950 is a much safer bet).

Plus the 7950's were cheaper (for a time). So some fantastic second hand deals on them - due to the great retail prices of the new R9's!
