Ok so ive got a dead sapphire HD 2900 XT, i think the memory has had it, how do i go about rma'ing it ?

I looked on the sapphire site and it says it should be done through the etailor, they however dont want to know with it been into the second year of the warrenty and supplied a number for me to ring.

This number however just rings and rings and im wondering if anybody had done this before and had any suggestions ? ive asked the etailor if they have another number and they were supposed to be getting back to me today, sufice to say they havent yet.

Had the same problem when I rmaed with sapphire.

Go to the sapphire website then contact us and create a support ticket. Don't worry about it being a US site. Just explain your situation to them about how where you bought it from is not accepting it back and provide all serial numbers etc. Takes a while though took me a few weeks to get a replacement card.

Create a support ticket. If card is less than 2 years old and NOT been tampered with and have a proof of purchase like a receipt you should be fine for a RMA replacement.

ive not tampered with it at all, the memorys just died, you load games and all the textures are completely screwed, ill get on it as soon as my exams are over then

Well got a response from the ticket.

The email contained some questions and attached was a random excel spreadsheet which i needed to fill in, all in genuine pigeon English so I dread to think where they are going to want me to see it.

Not impressed with the process at all so far to be fair, I don't know how manufacturers get away with offering such poor services, are they hoping people just don't bother ?

Anyone had any experience with them lately and know what i might get back ? because im going to have to order a card in the mean time and trying to limit my losses

Well the card returned quicker than i expected, it is however another 2900xt, and for some reason it wont detect my lcd tv anymore :s, im not sure if its a driver issue or not

tried switching the ports round, and now its booting and showing a picture on the tv ? are one of the outputs buggered ?

Using a dvi>vga adaptor shows a picture on the other moniter but it cant tell what any of the resolutions for it are

can't be a driver issue if its the same card, sounds like a problem with the ports as its not signalling properly, tried a different cable?.

Was the card new? could be another RMA card that was supposedly fixed and they just picked it from a shelf. Welcome to the game with a poor company they will just keep picking there shelves not bother test it and keep sending them out to you till one gets to you working or you give up and buy another card.

I gave up on sapphire after 5 months and 7 different HD 3870's till I just said sod em. You can probably guess I will never buy from them again.
