Hi Guys,

I am currently looking at buying either the Sapphire Vega 56 Pulse for £290 or Sapphire Vega 64 Nitro for £400. Both from Overclockers UK

Is the extra £110 worth it for Vega 64 ?

I have a 1440P 75Hz monitor but might upgrade it later to a 1440p 144hz monitor.

Any suggestion ?

I game at 75hz with a Sapphire Pulse and its brilliant, not sure how close to 144fps it would get though, personally if it was me I would get the 56 and see what Navi brings but it depends on your needs.

The 56 is much better value. Overclock the memory to 950MHz and you eliminate half the performance gap with a couple of clicks.

after a 290 you should appreciate the boost, especially after undervolting and oc'ing, after coming from a nano r9, I like the boost but not the noise, it takes me back to my 290 dayz ;P

Currently playing Prey at 1440p everything's set to max and smaa X 1 it rarely drops below 100fps on Vega 56 Pulse

Played Far Cry 4 before that, similar settings, 80fps with dips into the 50's when it got very busy

Prey seems well optimised and gives you two examples of how games can run on a 56

I would go Vega 64 with 1440p if you max ultra and over 100FPS

Currently running a Vega 64 @ 1440P and getting 110fps in games like Apex Legends and Wreck Fest on ultra

Very smmoth
