they are comparing it to a bog standard 6600.

when compared to a proper card, like the 7300gt which is cheaper than the x1300xt then you begin to realise that ati are taking the mickey.

at the lower end of the market nvidia is dominating. no questions asked.

if your in the mood for a new gfx card, is always best to post your budget and we can point out the most appropriate card for the cash.
 
Cyber-Mav is quite correct. The X1300 family is only a competitor to the 6600 family and the 7300gt (DDR3 version) creams both by quite a bit at a much lower price.

The fact that this new X1300 is similar to a X1600 is really no great achievment as the X1600s were completely useless in the price bracket they tried to occupy.

If your budget is tight, the 7300gt DDR3 version is the only way to go.
 
Last time I heard, the XTs were supposed to be faster than the Pros; whats going on here? :confused:

Either way ATI get pwned in the low/mid end range, so best to go nvidia.
