sapphire x1950pro & shuttle SN27p2

i just built my first shuttle system and had a x1950pro from my old system, its got a zalman cooler, which i thought was a bit big for the shuttle but tried it anyways, it fits although its a very tight squeeze in there. Went to install windows, it crashes halfway through now my intial thought is the graphics card is over heating but just wanted a second opinion before i contacted overclockers for return and if i was to get an alternative what would u recommend?

I used to have a x1900xt-x fitted with a zalman vf-900 cooler in my sn26p for over a year before my 8800gtx with no problems..

I had a HIS 1950Pro in a SN27P2 with no problems, apart from rattling fan. But that dumped heat outside the case. From memory the HIS ran in the 40's centrigrade range while idle.
