**Just noticed I have spelt Samsung "Sasmung" . .

Firstly, apologies for the quality of the video, it's the best I could be with my phone. I have had this panel a few days now but I just can't get used to the ghosting. I don't think the video really captures what I am seeing. The mouse pointer has a transparent body double constantly in pursue, same when moving a window. This is my first VA panel and I am coming from a TN so is this normal?

From the video it looks like fairly typical 'high contrast' trailing for a 60Hz VA panel. Have you tried setting 'Response Time' to 'Normal' as well, just in case you're also observing overshoot.

Thanks for the reply PCM2. It's still there on normal but seems to be trailing a little less?? I have my settings at Bright (55) Contrast (75) Sharp (60) Game mode off Color custom. Maybe I just need to stop comparing it to my previous panel which was the Swift. I keep looking at the BenQ XL2730Z but the whole "send away for a firmware upgrade" has put me off. Tempted to send this back and try the Eizo FlexScan EV2736W but I don't think I'll be happy with that either. My OCD is in full swing with all this :-)

You will get that to some extent with any sample and hold 60Hz monitor, no matter how responsive it is. I haven't tested the S29E790C myself, but for those kind of transitions the S34E790C did pretty well really. I think it is probably a case of comparing to the SWIFT, which is obviously a very different and more responsive monitor. I hope you can get used to the Samsung. :)
