Sat Nav (specific requirement)

One of my mates wants to buy a standalone sat nav but wants to be able to create a route using Google Maps and then send that route to the sat nav.

If it comes to it then he will use another route planner to do the same function but my question is, is there anything out there that will do that?
I think it's mainly going to be used when he is on his bike for anyone wondering why you would want to do that

Not 100% sure but i think most garmins can do this.
