Sata 3

I have a late 2008 Macbook pro with the core 2 duo. I Guess the hard drive in it is sata 2 if I get a solid state drive sata 3 will it support this interface or is there a firmware update that will allow it to support this interface. Thanks

The board only supports SATA 2.

The SATA 3 drive will fit, but it will never work above SATA2 speeds.
