A quick question does it matter what cable you use? or do you have to use Sata 3 cable to get the sata 3? (on a sata 3 motherboard)

I believe you have to use SATA3 cables with a SATA3 drive and SATA3 motherboard port.

There's no difference. SATA cables are all the same.

Thanks guys was just wondering since soon i plan to get 2 sata 3 ssds for raid 0 xD.. I think i have 2 sata 3 cables but i dno where i put them lol

Not sure if there's a difference or not but I do know that my motherboard came with two different sets of cables - one sata 2 lot, and one sata 3 lot. You won't break anything using the wrong ones but maybe the drive won't work at full speed.
