Hey,

I know you can get adaptors that convert 2 x Molex plugs into a PEG 6-pin plug, but are there adapters available that do this with 2 x SATA plugs? Or maybe a SATA and a Molex?

[edit] Just found these on a US site:

Greatest thing since sliced bread?? We think so! Finally a way to convert those unused SATA connectors on your PSU to the 4-pin Molex connector you need! This is a must have adapter that should be in every power users toolbox. Matter of fact.....grab a bunch of these as you never know when you will need one!

Any chance OcUK could get these in? Could then use a pair of converted SATA power plugs with a Molex to PEG adapter (complicated!!).

Cheers,

Suman

Dell problem :p

New Dell's no longer have any Molexes at all, and a mate wants to upgrade his 8400GS. Unfortunately the PSU has no PEG power connector! Hence the uber botch job :D

And yes, I am aware it would better swapping the PSU out before anyone says it...

If those SATA plugs work as advertised then I don't see a reason why it wouldn't work

If the power supply is good enough in the first place that is.
