So after realizing the reason I didn't install Windows on my faster, larger Hard Disk Drive 2 years ago is because the disk makes an awful clicking noise, I've decided I want to splash out on an SSD. I'm almost certainly going to buy a 120GB OCZ Vertex 3 this week (unless someone tells me otherwise).
Problem is, it's marked at 500MB/s (why I'm willing to pay the premium) BUT I only have SATA 3Gbps ports on my P45 motherboard (actually they're so old they may only be SATA 1.5Gbps ports
). So I'm in need of a SATA 6Gbps controller card - one of these I'd imagine. Is this a good choice? Are they all basically the same?
Also, will I need a new cable for SATA 6Gbps?
