SATA Configuration on mobo help??

Hey guys I went to the SATA Configuration on BIOS and it says it is set on IDE. is that right shud it be on AHCI??

Mine defaulted to that too.. I don't think its a problem. I just think AHCI is faster.

Change to ACHI as this will also enable TRIM on SSD drives, also this usually allows for e-sata drives to work.

Yes I installed Windows 7 64bit on my new 2TB SATA a few days ago.

Lol your right, once I changed it to ACHI and rebooted it shows the startup repair. any fixes?

Revert back to IDE mode and do the reg mod in the link few posts up.

To resolve this issue yourself, enable the AHCI driver in the registry before you change the SATA mode of the boot drive. To do this, follow these steps:
Exit all Windows-based programs.
Click Start, type regedit in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
If you receive the User Account Control dialog box, click Continue.
Locate and then click one of the following registry subkeys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Msahci
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\IastorV
In the right pane, right-click Start in the Name column, and then click Modify.
In the Value data box, type 0, and then click OK.
On the File menu, click Exit to close Registry Editor.

go back to windows.
Do fix.
Restart.
change to AHCI

go back to windows.

I changed back to IDE, and here is where I got up to:

Sorry guys I didn't read it up properly, I've change the Start to 0. restarted went to change AHCI in BIOS booted up and its all working with success.
