SATA connection in way of GTX280!

ARRRGHHH!

I changed SATA cable to a 'right angled' version but the SATA cable connection to the mobo still gets in the way and completely stops me fully seating the card down into the PCI-e slot!

Any ideas, other than switching to an IDE HDD????

Change the pcie slot the card is in?
Use a SATA controller?
New mobo and CPU?
Take to the graphics card with a hacksaw?

One of these they plug into a spare PCI-E slot on the motherboard if you have one.

I've just noticed there are 4 sata ports labelled 1,2,3 & 4!
Can i plug my only HDD in to any? If i can it leaves enough clearance!

Yes.

Each SATA connector supports a single SATA device.
