Try it in another machine if you can, or try a molex > SATA convertor so as to use a different strand on the PSU.

Failing that, it's RMA time.

yerp, it sounded like rma time quite a while ago, never mind, just get another one, and next time dont buy sata3, becasue it doesnt exist

Yup - it's a dud...

Just nipped out and bought a Seagate 320Gb Sata drive - wham, fires up straight away...

What a rubbish time of year to have to RMA stuff!!! :mad:

must be a bad batch then,recently i had to RMA a drive that was about 18 months old,replacement drive lasted 2 weeks before that went breasts up too

still thier RMA time is quite good ,i had about a 5 day turnaround
