hi guys

Having a problem with windows 7 trying to see my sata drives

currently have a nvidia nforce 2 chipset with "promise fasttrak 376" embedded
last driver update that i can find is a vista 32bit and 64bit one, rest are 2000, XP, 2003

however no driver wants to load at the boot installation screen.

is there any tweaks i can do? surely the vista driver should work!
Can i edit the inf???

heres the link to the latest driver: FastTrak 376/378 drivers version 1.00.1.39 & 1.00.1.41 pour Windows 98/Me/2000/Xp 32/64bits new
http://www.station-drivers.com/page/promise.htm

i know its old hardware, but the 2003, xp and vista drivers all worked on vista

i am going to upgrade when usb3 and pci-e3 comes out
i have been looking around for sata cards for a pci slot, "promise TX2300" is the only one i find, but review say its got performance problems, any other ones?? don't forget it have to be pci not pci-e

any help please

btw is a sata300 on a pci slot just a bottle neck?
does anyone know of pci card that support windows 7 (i mean actually have drivers)

regards
