In order to free up a bit of space in my v354 ive decided to buy one of these

im going to loose one of my 1tb samsung f3 and raid 0 as ill be loosing both hdd cages, my plan is to fit a 200mm rad in the front, one of my f3 samsungs in the bay device along with a slot loading dvdrw, my os ssd drive will be mounted in the bottom.
In order to power the optical slim drive i needed one of these

however without even opening that cable i can see its only 20cm and yes i can also see it on the description now, problem being is 20cm isnt going to be enough to reach the mobo,
So ive tried searching for a cheapish sata extension lead but havent really found much so far, the other option is for the sake of a £3.50 cable to try and extend it myself? anyone done that before and is there anything i should know before hand?
